The research project has been structured to reflect the complexities of post-conflict economic development. By adopting a matrix framework the team has been able to integrate key generic themes in the reconstruction process with contextualised case studies from three regions, as shown in the matrix below, with sample issues for each case.

The chief components of the dissemination will be through an independently funded conference (the papers will be published in a special edition of International Peacekeeping, edited by Pugh); reports on each country case study in working paper format.
