The Group housed in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Plymouth is also part of the Centre for Chemical Sciences. It was set up by Steve Rowland in 1989, to coordinate the interests of those in Plymouth involved in the general area of organic geochemistry research. We have strong links with national and international laboratories (please see our detailed international page).

The Group is comprised of five members of academic staff (two Professors, two Senior Lecturers and a Lecturer), a Senior Scientific Officer, five Post-Doctoral researchers, a Research Associate and ten PhD students, including those co-supervised here at the University of Plymouth and at other local, national and international institutions.
