Our Members and Associates

Professor Simon Davies is the leader of this group with Dr Daniel Merrifield as his research assistant.

Dr Awadhesh Jha is also associated with this group in respect of his expertise in nutrigenomics and aquatic toxicology.

The research group comprises 11 PhD students and an EU supported postdoctoral research fellow.

Presently students are funded from the Libyan and Iraqi government through state scholarships. The remaining are supported by industry, namely MARS (Waltham Pet Nutrition Centre), and Alltech Biotechnology as well as 2 BBSRC case studentships. One student receives a joint HEFCE industrial grant with Prosper De Mülder Ltd.

A further student receives funding from the Great Western Research Trust for the South West of England.
