The 10th meeting was held in Plymouth and hosted by the Petroleum and Environmental Geochemistry Group (Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Plymouth).
This is the second time that the BOGS Meeting has been hosted in Plymouth by PEGG and the third time that it has been held in the beautiful county of Devon. The Meeting was attended by a slightly smaller number of delegates but the organisers believe that the Meeting was a successful and enjoyable occasion from both a scientific as well as a social viewpoint. We hope that the tradition of a yearly BOGS Meeting does not fall by the way side and that next year we will be able to meet up again somewhere towards the north of the U.K.
The scientific programme was spread over two days and comprised quite a relaxed programme ten oral presentations and fourteen poster presentations. The standard of all the presentations was very high (as we have come to expect at BOGS Meetings) and those involved are to be congratulated on their efforts.
The boat trip on Thursday evening appeared to be enjoyed by all... at least the weather held out for us. Our resident photographer was busy throughout the Meeting so check out the photographs you wish had never been taken (or otherwise... ).
